The Taste Of Blood Remains

*Cassidy's POV*

I woke to a soft touching on my head, I turned to see Mike playing with my hair, "Morning" I said in a scratchy voice, "Good morning, beautiful" he smiled, I looked up and around the different bunks, there was no sign of Vic, "I'm gonna go to the toilet" I said giving his lips a quick peck before jumping up, when I walked through to the front I saw Vic sitting on the sofa with his head in his hands, "Morning" I yawned as I made my way over, "Morning Cass" he looked up and smiled, his eyes were heavy and red, I could tell he hadn't had any sleep, "Vic you need to get some sleep" I said sitting next to him, he shook his head, "I'm fine" he said looking at the floor, "Vic, your dad is going to be okay, he wouldn't want you up worrying about him" I said rubbing his back, he nodded, "I guess you're right" he grumbled before getting up and making his way back through to the bunks, I sighed and shook my head, I flicked the switch of the kettle and heard Mike getting up as Tony and Jaime were still sound asleep, "I thought you needed a pee?" Mike asked wrapping his hands around my waist, I shook my head, "I did " I said laughing a little, I felt him nod, "Coffee?" I asked he nodded and kissed the back of my neck, thanking me and sitting down, "Jerry, how far do we have to go?" I shouted to the bus driver, "About 45 minutes, Mam" he said, I nodded and thanked him before handing Mike his coffee, "I'm going to wake Tony and Jaime up" I said, he nodded and watched me as I tip toed through to the bunks, "Jaime!" I whispered shaking his arm, he didn't budge, "JAIME!" I whispered even louder, he shot up and banged his head off the bunk above, I started giggling as he held his head and groaned in pain, "Sorry" I whispered before moving over to Tony, "Tone" I shook his arm lightly, as I done with Jaime, he was a light sleeper so he wouldn't hurt himself thankfully, I looked back over at Jaime who was still holding his head and groaning, when I turned back, Tony's face was inches away from mine, "Boo!" he whispered, I jumped and fell back landing on my bum, "Ow" I cried holding my face in my hands as I heard everyone laughing around me, "What happened?" Mike asked walking through the curtain, I looked up at him with puppy eyes, "Oh baby, why are you on the floor?" He asked picking me up, "I was waking Tony up and he scared me and I fell and hurt my bum" I pouted, Mike laughed and shook his head a little as he set me down on the couch, I rolled on to my stomach and watched as he went to the freezer and pulled out a tub of ice cream with two spoons, "Here" he said holding out a spoon" I smiled and took it from him, before he sat back down he kissed my bum, I giggled a little before sitting up and leaning into him.

As Mike and I ate half a tub of ice cream to ourselves Jaime and Tony finally got up, "Why didn't you wake Vic up too?" Jaime asked, I rolled my eyes, "Because you guys have been sleeping since last night and Vic only went to bed an hour ago" Mike explained for me, I looked at him and smiled, "Thanks" I mouthed, he just smiled back before kissing my nose, "Where's my ice cream?" Tony pouted as he sat watching Mike and I finish the rest of the ice cream, well to be truthful it was surprisingly more Mike than I, "I'll make you some pancakes later" I said, he smiled and nodded, "Okay folks, here we are" our bus driver announced, I nodded and stood up, going and grabbing my suitcase, "Vic" I said shaking him, he just groaned, "That's us home" I said, he groaned again before sitting up and jumping down, "Where are we?" He asked rubbing his eyes, "Mike's house, do you wanna come in and go see your dad with Mike from here?" I asked pulling my suitcase behind me as I followed him out, he nodded before walking out and standing at Mike's front door, "Here let me take that for you" Mike said bending down to grab my suitcase, "I can manage" I defended, he looked up from my suitcase and smiled, giving me a quick kiss so he could distract me before taking the suitcase out of my hand and running away, "Mike!" I shouted running out after him, he stopped in the middle of the street and that was when I realized that I was still only in my pants and a shirt, my eyes went wide as I ran towards Vic and shielded myself into him, "Are you okay there?" Vic laughed a little, I nodded as I waited on Mike opening the door, "You tricked me" I cried and crossing my arms, Mike pouted and walked towards me, "Awhh baby" he said about to wrap his arms around my waist but I pushed him back and looked away, I could be stubborn when I want to be, "Awwhh come on, Cass" he smiled as he walked behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist, I folded my hands and stared in the other direction, I felt him smirk as he moved all of my hair to one side before targeting my neck and behind my ear, he started kissing and pulling at my neck with his teeth, "Eugh I hate you" I said finally giving in and turning around to face, him, "You love me really" he said smiling at me, moving his face closer and closer to mine, "I know" I mumbled, "What was that?" He asked with a smirk on his face, "I know" I repeated a little louder, "You're so cute" he said before kissing my lips, before we could get any further, we heard Vic fake gag, Mike sighed as he pulled away before walking over to the couch and sitting next to him.

After Tony and Jaime went home and dumped their suitcases they came back as they were going to see Mr Fuentes with Vic and Mike, "Okay guys, send Mr Fuentes my love" I said as they were leaving, "Wait, you're not coming?" Mike asked, I shook my head as I sipped my tea, "Why?" Vic asked, I shrugged a little, "Cass, you're our family now" Mike said holding his hand out but I didn't reach for it, I just stared at him blankly, "I don't like hospitals" I mumbled, "Okay, I'll call you later then" Mike said smiling softly at me, I nodded slowly before he bent down, "I love you" he said, I smiled at him, "I love you too" I replied kissing his lips before he left. As I was sitting and thinking about Mike and how upset he was on the bus, I sighed and finally gave in, I ran to my suitcase and grabbed my make up and clothes, I ran upstairs and entered the first door I came to, I'm guessing it was the guest bedroom, it was pretty spacious and light, the walls were a cream color, there was a double bed in the corner with white and grey patterned sheets, there was a chest of drawer and one wardrobe as well an en suite, I quickly got changed and done my make up, I ran down stairs and realized that I didn't have a ride, I quickly dialed a cab, after waiting outside for what felt like a century a cab finally pulled up, I jumped in it and we were there in no time, "Thank you" I said paying him $16 and jumping out, I ran inside and waited at the desk, "Hi, how can I help you?" The receptionist asked, "Umm Victor Fuentes?" I asked, she smiled and nodded, "Go straight down the hall, take a left and another left, the second room on your right" she said pointing me in the right direction, I thanked her and walked as fast as I could, when I reached the door I peered in the room and saw everyone sitting around his bed, I quietly made my way in the room, no one even noticed I had just entered, I slowly walked over to Mike who was sitting in a chair and rested my hand on his shoulder, he turned around and looked up, smiling at me, "Dad, guess who's here?" Mike said letting go of my hand and shaking Mr Fuentes', he slowly opened his eyes and smiled at me, "Cassidy" he said weakly, I smiled and waved a little, his arm was in a cast, his face was black and blue and he was hooked up to 3 monitors, I stood at the side of Vic before Mike pulled me on his knee, "Thanks for coming" he said kissing my cheek, I just smiled at him.
