Can You Fix The Broken? - Comments

@BlackVeilsinWhite
This is so totally off topic, but HOLY HELL! The website is working again!

@WednesdaysCoffin
I always get frustrated when I can't foresee the future of my book, but I tell myself that at least it means it won't be predictable. If you don't know what's coming - the reader sure as heck won't know, unless they have kick ass guessing skills.
This story is absolutely in it's early stages, and chapter by chapter I see it growing and getting to the more in depth, exciting stuff. I just posted a new chapter, so I hope you enjoy :D

@BlackVeilsinWhite
I understand completely. I started writing "Time To Waste" over a year ago, actually, and I still to this day have not decided how it's going to end and exactly how the ending will play out. So, I totally get it! It's very early days yet for this story, and I'm just excited to see where you take it and what you divulge along the way. :)

@WednesdaysCoffin
I'll be honest, you're not the only one torn about who she will end up with. I have a pretty good idea of the rest of the plot, but who knows, things can always change! The BDSM hints will continue to slowly come out and between where her love interest goes, it will all come together eventually, you have my word!

Hmm. An interesting development in this chapter. I'm kind of torn between if I want a Mia/Ryan romance or if I want to see her with someone else, ahem, who might be a little taller and have more tattoos. :) Because I am predictable like that! Though the idea is intriguing, and I'm also intrigued by the covert BDSM hints here and there that the guys are all involved in that community. I'm really curious to see where this is all heading . . . . :D

@BlackVeilsinWhite
Well, I won't argue with some Ryan love. That's never a bad thing and clearly great minds think alike! :) As for the last few lines of the last chapter, I think they make clear sense. When I got to the "HE" part, I wasn't certain so I just re-read the last few lines and realized that "HE" was a very different character from Ryan. I like that you did it, actually, because just giving a name would have been simple and not really built suspense.

Anyhow, excited to read this new chapter which, of course, I got no notification for. Oh well, yay more reading! :D

@WednesdaysCoffin
I can't tell you how many times I've done that as well, and before I have the chance to blink the website has deleted what I've written as a comment. It's a serious pain in the ass! It's funny that we both kind of had the idea to bring Ryan more into the light. The chapter that I just posted will answer your question though as to if he will be more of a main character or not.

That's awesome that you at least got to see BMTH at some point, and I agree that it's crazy as to how big they became.

You're absolutely right about Ryan not knowing Mia from before the last chapter, I knew that was a risk I took when I just used the word "HE" instead of giving an actual name.

I hope you enjoy new update :D

It's funny, I actually saw Bring Me the Horizon a million years ago, so I haven't witnessed their current live show with all the production and whatnot. I saw them at Warped Tour around 2008, "Suicide Season"- era. They were on a little stage, but had a huge crowd. Anyhow, a long list of random coincidences occurred, and I ended up seeing them and was blown away. I definitely didn't realize then how huge they would become!

Back to the story, I actually initially thought that the last few lines were implying that Ryan knew Mia in the past. Then I re-read them and while I don't think that's the case now, I kind of like the idea. I guess I will just have to wait and see what unfolds next. I can't wait! :D

OH FOR FUCKS SAKE! I just typed a huge comment and the website went tits up and lost it. :( Let me try this again . . .

I love that I guessed that Chris would arrive ahead of schedule, thereby meeting Mia before she could 'escape.' Of course, I did not predict that she would faint, or that Ryan would be the one sitting there when she woke up. I enjoyed that 'twist' very much. In fact, carrying over to our Ryan conversation on my story, I really liked seeing him as a focal character for this chapter. Maybe he will continue to be a main character? That would be fun and interesting. Whatever happens, whatever unfolds, I know I will enjoy reading it. :)

As for Bleeding Through, I think their newest album, "Love Will Kill All," has some of their more 'melodic' material. Try searching for a song called "Dead Eyes." But if they are just not your thing, that's totally cool. While I appreciate the sentiment that every band has to have at least a few songs that anyone can appreciate, I'm kind of a picky bitch. lol I don't know that I would necessarily agree with that. But, again, it is a nice sentiment.

@WednesdaysCoffin
Keep the dream alive, I will be doing the same, haha :)

I went ahead and listened to "Love Lost in a Hail of Gunfire" and you weren't kidding when you said they were a very heavy band! I by no means hated it, it just wasn't really what I'm used to listening to. I figure I just have to keep listening to different songs of theirs, and I'll eventually find one I like. I feel like every band you may not exactly love has at least a couple of songs you can find yourself liking and or connecting to.

You have a super good point about "True Friends" being competition to "Can You Feel My Heart", I love the message, the actual song, and that music video was brilliant. I haven't seen them live yet, but just from the pictures I've seen online it looks like something I'll have to experience at least once sometime in my life!

I'm glad you're still liking the mystery of Mia still! It'll be an underlying theme for a good while still in the story. It's still pretty early on in it, but now starting with the chapter I'm just about to post it will start to build up and get the story moving along!

@BlackVeilsinWhite
I used to drive a Chevy - and I literally forgot what kind, Cavalier maybe? - so I feel your pain. I drive a Honda Accord these days and as lovely of a car as it is, it's no Aston Martin. I certainly wouldn't mind a Lamborghini, myself, but I'll just keep dreaming! lol

My favorite Bleeding Through song of all-time is called "Love Lost in a Hail of Gunfire." There is a video for it, so it's on YouTube. Off their new album, I love a song called "Dead Eyes". They are a very heavy band, so I certainly understand that they are not for everyone but I've loved them for many, many years. Longer than I ever even knew MIW existed! lol

"Can You Feel My Heart" would definitely be one of my favorite BMTH songs, but it has competition from "Happy Song," "True Friends," and "Chelsea Smile." Have you seen them live? They are AMAZING!

As for the story, I like that there's a major element of mystery right now. That definitely keeps readers reading and propells the plot forward smoothly. :)

@WednesdaysCoffin
Thank you so much, I'm glad to hear that!
I'm in the same boat with you, my current car is a used Chevy Cruise, so an Aston Martin would get more love and care than anything else, haha! This book I have planned out that I probably won't mention their involvement in a band and focus on their 'job'. As far as Bleeding Through goes through, I have to shamefully admit I have not yet listened to them yet. It's one of those bands that I keep putting on my get to list, but haven't gotten to it yet. Any suggestions on a good song to start with?

The secrecy of Mia's past will be kept up for a while, and you're right about it being the main hidden point in the book so far, but you're dang right about the fact that it was a tragic something that happened to her.

I adore that song too, and I was so excited when I was finally able to slip it into a title of some kind. By far the best BMTH song in my opinion :)

This update is adorable! I love it! It made me smile like a dork. :)

Well, that is until the end. Which, I was thinking that if Chris and the guys showed up early, that would ruin Mia’s plans of escaping to a hotel to avoid meeting them. So, what with the dramatic ending of the chapter, I am wondering if that is indeed the case already. I know you won’t answer that – which is good – I am just thinking out loud.

I love that Dylan is so in love with his car. Honestly, if I had an Aston Martin, I would probably be the same way too. Also, I think I literally gasped aloud reading that Dylan, Felix and Chris were doms. When I read, “same line of work,” of course, I figured Dylan and Felix are in a band. Wrong! I love that twist. Just as I love any mention of Bleeding Through. (New album – have you heard it? Are you a fan?)

Lastly, I continue to be greatly intrigued by Mia’s past, which I know is much of the point of the veiled secrecy, so far. Clearly something tragic happened that led to her even meeting Dylan and Felix, and I’ll be very curious to see how that plays out in future chapters.

Your not sleeping was worth it! :)

P.S. Better late than never - I friggin' LOVE "Can You Feel My Heart"!!!

@BlackVeilsinWhite
That's funny - I love supernatural stories but also feel like that might not be my writing forte. We shall see, because I've been trying to 'flex my wings' lately.

Vampires or not, I look forward to seeing where this is headed. :) Definitely.

@WednesdaysCoffin
So turns out my body wouldn't let me sleep until I finished one more update :P

It's really funny that you mentioned the vampire thing, because just yesterday I was thinking about the fact that I didn't have any supernatural stories...and probably won't I don't think I could pull that off very well. You're 100% right about it being in the early days, it's got a long ways to go.

I can't say too much about what she will do when they finally get there...but you do have a very valid point that this would come to a quick close if she never meets them!

That's wonderful that you regained your love for this! I think it's a great beginning, and I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes. I have a zillion theories but since it's early days yet, I should probably keep them to myself. All I definitely know is that if Mia hides in her room when the company comes, I think that might ruin the story! :P

It's funny, I read this first chapter and your intro eons ago when I first found this website. However, at that time I wasn't commenting, didn't have an account, and didn't have a very good system for keeping track of who was updating what. So I eyed stories that I enjoyed, and hoped for updates. This never got updated and I guess I kind of lost track along the way.

Now here you are with an update! Which means I had to re-read this chapter, and I definitely remember the story.

Firstly, Felix and Dylan are exceptionally brave! I live near a heavily wooded stretch and if I hear a cry in the woods (which is common at night with all the hairy animals out there), I do not go into the woods to explore. No, ma'am!

Secondly, I remember when I initially read this that I was kind of hoping that it was a vampire story. lol I'm almost certain that that is not where you are headed with this, and that's okay, but for amusement's sake I had to share. :)

@Motionless.Rinio
Thank you so much, I apologize for the ridiculously long wait for any word back on this story!
I'm glad you liked the first chapter, and I hope you enjoy the second one and will stick around to see where this book will go!

Woah.... that right there is a very well organised horror story ... niiiice keep it up * respects,biws and aplausses*
